Immortalize Me. Please. | Daily Prompt: Ghostwriter

If you could have any author –living or dead – write your biography, who would you choose?

For the living, I’d ask Markus Zusak. Since the time I was consumed by curiosity upon seeing his I am the Messenger, I have regarded him with such honor, honor that I could only offer to a great writer. He writes with such poetry, honesty, and punch that it hurts. And with The Book Thief, that just sealed the deal for me.

A very close second is Christopher Moore. He has this sarcasm, humor, and irreverence that I love.

I’d ask Filipinos too but the ones I’d think of employing are cartoonists, like Pol Medina, Jr. and Julius Villanueva. I believe they wouldn’t be keen on agreeing to this project.

Now for the dearly departed. Alfred Lord Tennyson is it. Well, my life may not be as legendary or magical—and I’m sure I’m no knight or even a horse in shining armor—but it has romantics in it. Somehow. We could start there.

Of course, there’s a second option and that is Madeleine L’Engle. Her books about the adventures of the Murry kids were my first series. The details of the stories may be foggy to me now but I’ll never forget that she opened the door of sci-fi and fantasy for me.
