Today is Mother’s Day in the United States. Wherever in the world you are, write your mother a letter.
Photographers, share a photo that says mothering.
Mama,
I’d hate to disturb you while you’re watching your soaps. It’s a Mother’s Day special on almost every channel and every show on TV. Even the cooking shows employ the mother factor. So I won’t keep you long from the TV.
Admittedly, I’m not one of those touchy-feely kids. I don’t kiss and hug as much as I’d like to. I’m nothing like any of my brothers. And all I could ever be proud of are the words on a page. Thanks for understanding all of that, even when it’s too crazy for you. Thank you for the time and for trying to read and understand.
Well, yeah, I’m not exactly someone you’d brag to your friends.
But I’m always, always, always everyday always thankful that you love me. Despite every mistake that I commit, you always say that you’re proud that I am your son.
Ma, I am proud—and I am so glad—that you are my mother.
Salamat Ma. I love you.
