Erik calls mine the “Euro Boy Style”, emphasis on the boy.
Why emphasis on the boy? There’s “Euro Man Style,” which means suits and blazers which I cannot abide by. I live in a tropical country; despite the rainy season, it can still feel hot. Too many layers and too much material just aren’t practical—unless I am surrounded by air-conditioning 24/7, then maybe so. But I am not.
The key piece of most of my attire is the vest hoodie. It protects me from the rain and cold. Sort of, at least. It gives a layer of warmth. But there’s not that much material so it feels light and easy.
Since the office doesn’t require uniforms, I wear one almost every day but that hugely depends on the weather. I combine that with a shirt or a button-down, dark or black jeans, and a good pair of sneakers and I am good to go!
