I actually have done this at least three times.
When I did this the first time, I thought that introductions online and in person could only say so much since there’s so little time. A good number of my friends love music so I compiled songs for them and burned those onto a CD/DVD. I personalized each one according to the friend I was doing it for—it was more for them than for me.
But, since this would be my introduction through songs, here is my playlist:
- (Everybody’s Free) Wear Sunscreen – Baz Luhrman
- 40 Acres – Caedmon’s Call
- Alapaap – 6cyclemind
- Another Believer – Rufus Wainright
- Dancing in the Moonlight – Toploader
- Fun, Fun, Fun – Pharell Williams
- Good Time – Owl City featuring Carly Rae Jepsen
- Have a Nice Day – Stereophonics
- Here’s to Never Growing Up – Avril Lavigne
- Houdini – Foster the People
- If You Get Scared – D’Sound
- Island in the Sun – Weezer
- Lucky Me – Batchelor Girl
- Mountain Wind – True Faith
- Say – John Mayer
- Summer Parade – Depapepe
- Testing 1, 2, 3 – Bare Naked Ladies
- The Animal Song – Savage Garden
- Typical – Mutemath
- Walking Home – Labuyo
- What You Wish For – Guster
- With a Smile – South Border
- You Gotta Be – Natalie Cole
Just with Depapepe being here, you’re all thumbs up for me!

“Start” is my favorite off them, I guess because it’s the song that introduced them to me in the first place. 🙂 Thanks for reminding me about this great band. =D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx6pF4WzuMA

I love their 2 albums about their renditions of classical pieces.
The old given a new twist with the unmistakable Depapepe sound.
