What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from the person you’re the closest to?
He would defy his diet so I’d have someone to eat out with.
My friends know me as a foodie. I regale them with tales of restaurants and torture them with food porn. But I only have ammunition for such because I have company when I did all those; I am a coward if I will eat out alone. Just so you know: I have gone out to dine by myself. But I doubt anyone would consider fast food restaurants—or take-outs—challenging.
While I have a good number of people I could call on, Jake is the most reliable, willing, and predictable.
Because of all those food trips, he has gained a lot of weight. He’s now on meds and has to be seriously monitored. He jokes about it but I have a good idea of what he’s going through and possibly even more.
Despite his situation, he’d still volunteer to accompany me anywhere my cravings take me. Even when I just casually post stuff about food, he’d readily oblige.
He would go the whole nine yards so I’m not alone out there.
For the record, I am quite grateful that Jake is my best friend. But I wish I could do more than just be expressive about my thanks and give him health and exercise tips. I do not want to lose him because of food.
Seek for healthier food trip options. 🙂

Jake doesn’t know how to bike. Although he said he’d love to learn how.
Exercising together would be good, if we didn’t live cities apart.
