Meet Mati

Hi there! Mati here.

My name comes from the Sanskrit word that could mean one of three things: thought, intellect, or advice. For the record though: I picked out the name even before I knew what it means. I don’t speak nor write Sanskrit but my guess is it depends on the context. I found out that the word also exists in other languages–and with interesting definitions. To the Greeks, it means “eye”. To Indonesians, it’s “death”. There’s a Native American tribe which uses it to refer to gourd but I don’t know which tribe it is.

I’m deemed weird when it comes to my choice of books and music, more so when it comes to food. My friends would easily vouch for that! I’ll spare you the details here. Though I do welcome you to ask.
