The Museum’s Secrets

The museum houses the collection of Alfonso T. Yuchengco, the recently departed head of the Yuchengco Group of Companies, two of which are the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) and the Mapúa University (formerly Mapúa Institute of Technology). He was also the Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the United Nations and served different presidential administrations.

Suited

As I was assembling the pieces, I wondered. Family weddings had red, blue, or yellow as the motif. Meanwhile, most friends and classmates chose purple as their motif. It is quite a popular choice. As to why it is, that escapes me.

Room for Pocket Squares

It was the last piece I needed to complete the look. By having it, my suit could be finished with some panache or maybe I would end up with sprezzatura. I could go for either one. But I would have neither if I don’t find a pocket square.

Riddle of the Blue Blazer

It came in my size. It had a good color: blue. It had texture because of the minute white dots, which created the illusion of an even lighter suit. It had lean lapels and two front buttons. It had British-style, which means two vents on the sides. And it had elbow patches made of dark blue material. In short, it was me.
